A visit to Préhisto Parc is an exciting journey back in time. Set in a shaded forest, you’ll encounter more than 150 life-size scenes that bring prehistoric life vividly to life. Swim in the Rivers Dordogne and Vézère

On warm summer days, the Périgord Noir offers idyllic swimming spots along the Dordogne and Vézère rivers. A favourite is the beach at Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, which you can easily reach on foot from our house – a pleasant walk with a touch of adventure. Enjoy crystal-clear water, a sandy shore and views of the Château de Castelnaud rising above the valley.

Also highly recommended is the bathing area in Vitrac. With its gentle access to the water, it’s ideal for families. Both locations offer picnic areas and water sports facilities, perfectly combining relaxation, nature and the typical Dordogne landscape.
